I, Dendi Sherpa, have been working as a trekking guide for the past 15 years. Before I started my career as a guide I worked several years as a porter and assistant guide. I have successfully completed the Trekking Guide Training conducted by the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management (formerly known as Hotel Management & Tourism Training Center). Apart from working as a guide in all trekking areas of Nepal, I have also organized and guided trekking and sightseeing tours in Tibet, Sikkim, Bhutan, and India.
In addition, I have also completed mountaineering courses conducted by the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA). I have led several ice climbing expeditions and ascended a number of mountains above 6000m including, amongst others, Island Peak, Cholo West, Mera Peak, Thorong Peak, and Annapurna South.
